U Aung Myo Htut has over 31 years of experience in the banking industry, having joined First Private Bank since its founding stage. He brings a wealth of experience to his current role. He earned his B.Econ (Stats) from Yangon Institute of Economics in 1985. He worked in the production accounting and finance departments at Marble Factory (Thanlyin) under the No. (1) Ministry of Industry, a government organization, where he dedicated over six (6) years from December 1985 to 1992.
Since July 1992, U Aung Myo Htut has demonstrated remarkable career progression within First Private Bank Limited. Starting as an Intern, he subsequently held positions such as Cashier, Senior Cashier, Head Cashier, Chief Cashier, Senior Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager in different roles. Currently, with an impressive tenure of about 31 years in the bank, he serves as the Chief Treasury Officer, overseeing critical aspects of the First Private Bank’s Treasury and currency operations.
Dr. Aung Min is currently the Chief Information Officer of First Private Bank. His role at FPB is to lead the bank’s digital transformation processes to help secure a better future for the bank.
He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Yangon Technological University (Myanmar), master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering from the University of Sydney (Australia) and the University of Queensland (Australia).
Dr. Aung Min has over 17 years of experience in IT and customer service that range from application development, business analysis, core banking implementations, data migrations, help desk support to project management. He began his IT career in June 1998 as a trainee programmer at a local IT company. He contributed to the development of core banking applications for Myanmar local banks while working there. He began his banking career with First Private Bank in September 2014 as Head of IT.
His professional areas of interest include project management, core banking systems, digital channels, payment systems and regulatory reporting.
Daw Mi Mi Naing has transitioned from working in branches to becoming a top financial leader, accumulating more than 28 years of experience at First Private Bank. She earned a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Yangon University of Economics in 2017. Throughout her journey, she consistently aimed for excellence in her studies, obtaining a Certificate of Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) from the UK in 2016 and an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the Institute of Economics in 1995.
Joining First Private Bank in 1995, Daw Mi Mi Naing demonstrated exceptional leadership in branch operations until 2012. Her role evolved beyond daily tasks, encompassing team leadership and the development of strong customer relationships. Climbing the corporate ladder, she assumed the role of General Manager in the International Banking Department from 2013 to 2020.
During this period, she focused on building and sustaining relationships with international banking partners and efficiently managing cross-border financial transactions while adhering to international banking regulations. In her capacity as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from 2020 to 2023, Daw Mi Mi Naing spearheaded the financial strategy during a critical transformation. Implementing robust financial controls and strategic plans, she significantly improved the bank’s financial performance.
U Myo Min Cho boasts over 26 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, ascending from an initial role as an accountant to eventually attaining the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at First Private Bank Limited. His academic journey includes earning a B.Sc. (Maths) degree from Pathein University in 1994, followed by pursuing advanced studies in mathematics up to the level of Master of Science (M.Sc.) with a thesis.
Commencing his professional journey in March 1997 as an accountant at the Branch of First Private Bank, U Myo Min Cho steadily progressed. By April 1998, he earned a promotion to the role of senior accountant within the accounting department. Subsequently, in 2010, he advanced to the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) and assumed the responsibilities of a Branch Manager. Notably, he ascended to the role of Deputy General Manager in May 2015, overseeing the Mobile Banking Department. Continuing his career progression, since 2016, U Myo Min Cho has served as the General Manager (GM), concurrently overseeing eight branches along with the mobile department. Acknowledging his significant contributions, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) from December 2019 to May 2023. Currently, he remains dedicated to his position as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of First Private Bank Limited.
Throughout his career, U Myo Min Cho has actively participated in numerous banking-related seminars and workshops, earning multiple certificates. In 2002, he attended the Financial Information Systems in Asia and Pacific, organized by Japan, receiving a certificate from FISC, the Center for Financial Industry Information Systems. In 2012, he successfully completed the Trade Product Course and RMB Cross Border Trade Course organized by the Myanmar Institute of Banking. Additionally, in 2017, he participated in the Leadership Program for Young Executives facilitated by THAMMASAT BUSINESS SCHOOL under the supervision of Siam Commercial Bank PCl.
U Thu Ra recently joined First Private Bank Public Company Limited as Chief Executive Officer. He has over 30 years of involvement in the banking and finance field. He received his B. Com degree from Institute of Economics, Yangon in 1988 with Banking and Management Science Elective and joined State-owned Myanma Economic Bank as an Assistant Manager in March 1992. While working at Myanma Economic Bank, he was awarded scholarship by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to study for his Master’s Degree in Japan in 2000. He earned his Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan in 2001.
U Thu Ra served in various positions in Myanma Economic Bank including Regional Manager of Yangon Division and Sagaing Division before transferred to Myanma Economic Bank head office in Nay Pyi Taw in 2008. He also served as Assistant General Manager in Administration Department, Loans and Supervision Department and Research, Training and Public Relations Department before he quit Myanma Economic Bank in May 2015. He has attended several training courses, seminars and workshops in various countries during his tenure with Myanma Economic Bank.
After leaving Myanma Economic Bank, he joined Yangon Representative Office of Woori Bank, one of the leading commercial banks in Korea, as Chief Representative from July 2015 to September 2017. Moreover, he also worked as Chief Executive Officer of Small & Medium Enterprises Development Bank (SMEDB) for 2 years, from October 2021 to October 2023.
